Twelve towns and nothing joining them. You have twenty cables.
Lay them wherever you like, then knock towns out and watch what is left of the
network. Spread the cables evenly, note what happens; pile them onto two or
three towns, and note what happens then. Same budget, different survival.
Click two towns to lay a cable between them. Click the same two
again to take it back and get the cable returned to your budget.
Random failure removes towns in a random order. Targeted
attack always removes whichever surviving town has the most cables.
Connectivity is the share of towns still in one connected piece.
R is that share averaged over the whole removal — one number
for how well the wiring held.
